Re: How to check users status - enabled/disabled
A hack: just do
pipe mc authorize sh * | sea sys$pipe username,disuser
A better way, download scanuaf from
http://vms.process.com/scripts/fileserv/fileserv.com?SCANUAF
and launch scanuaf

Re: How to check users status - enabled/disabled
Ganeshn,
Let me begin with
WELCOME to the VMS forum!
Gerard,
the PIPE on AUTHORIZE SHOW is far from water-tight:
Accounts that are not DISUSER, but have NO access modes enabled, do not turn up;
I am also wondering how you would deal with account that only have some modes enabled, or what about accounts that have certain modes enabled for only certain hours?
I think the question is much too crude for the fine-graininess of the VMS setup possibilities!!
Ganeshn, it might be very instructing to
MCR AUTHORIZE HELP
and look at /ACCESS (and the various modes) and /PRIMARY and /SECONDARY, as well as /FLAGS,
just to get an idea!
And after that, of course you are more than welcome with more specific questions!
hth,
Proost.
Have one on me (perhaps next week at the Bootcamp in Nashua?)
jpe
