======================
I am NOT subscribed to HP-UX. I am subscribed to several Alpha platforms, OpenVMS issues, and one Itanium platform -- but ever since signing up for the Itanium stuff, I've been getting these nonsense HP-UX alerts.
I've sent in feedback before, and only got a form letter back -- "sorry you're experiencing difficulty". Big whoop -- I'm more sorry!
Does anyone here have any idea why HP would be sending HP-UX alerts to OpenVMS users? Any ideas on who to contact to get this FIXED? I don't want to be off the Itanium alerts -- I want the RIGHT alerts!
TIA,
Aaron

Re: Inappropriate alerts from HP
You most likely signed up for HP passort which you can select/deselect products and servers you have. Try logging in this website and adjust the products you want alerts for.

Re: Inappropriate alerts from HP
The only thing that changed is that I added RX2600 Itanium servers to my list of hardware.
It appears from this that HP has made the presumption that anyone running Itanium equates to "HP-UX on Itanium", and that misconception (or, for the less P.C., OS bigotry) needs to be rectified.
10 points to the wizard who can direct me to someone who can make the necessary changes in the subscription list keywords!

Re: Inappropriate alerts from HP
If you follow the "contact HP information page" link on the above page, you get reams of possible contacts, but none of them appear to be applicable to the HP Portal email subscriptions.
There are no X- headers in the emails, either, that would offer any kind of email address that queries could be sent to.
Overall, I'd rank the implementation rather shoddy. Good service on the face of it, but poorly supported and inflexible.

Re: Inappropriate alerts from HP
THere is another thread where OpenVMS people are not getting alerts for OpenVMS. If OpenVMS people are getting HP-UX alerts then are HP-UX people getting OpenVMS alerts?
:)
All I know is that ITRC is far below the capability and relibility of DSNlink
