ITRC login
Hi I have recently registered with ITRC I want to download some patches, I can access the patch database.
the Issue is ,I want to do a FTP directly from my vms server to ITRC, after providing credentials get message
550 Can't chroot() to /usr/spool/uucppublic/users/WW178504
%TCPIP-E-FTP_LOGREJ, login request rejected
221 Goodbye.
is there a way to do direct FTP to ITRC otherwise I would have create SAMBA share or burn the patched on cd and do that I want to avoid it for everytime

Re: ITRC login
Bjay,
for FTP access, use ftp.itrc.hp.com - but log in as anonymous user, not with your ITRC account.

Re: ITRC login
Here's the Patch FAQ, with details on anonymous access and the whole rest of the environment.

The bulk of the FAQ posting is directly from one of the engineers that creates and maintains the patches for OpenVMS Engineering.
