Keep Alive IP Issue
I have been sucessful in configuring this on TCP/IP Services v.5.3 using the sysconfig tool..... but v.4.x doesn't have this feature.
Can it be achieved through logical names, or is there another way to do this ?
I need to configure it for all IP traffic, since we are using MQ Client which doesn't create a service.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Keep Alive IP Issue
actually you might want to create a Service for MQ. Ours is looking like this:
Service: MQSERIES
State: Enabled
Port: 1414 Protocol: TCP Address: 0.0.0.0
Inactivity: 5 User_name: MQM Process: MQSERIES
Limit: 1 Active: 0 Peak: 0
File: SYS$MANAGER:MQRECV.COM
Flags: Listen
Socket Opts: Rcheck Scheck
Receive: 0 Send: 0
Log Opts: None
File: not defined
Security
Reject msg: not defined
Accept host: 0.0.0.0
Accept netw: 0.0.0.0
This is TCPIP 5.3, sorry no 4.x around here any more.
Greetings, Martin

Re: Keep Alive IP Issue
To my knowledge, you can not force keepalive in version 4.x. So you need to define thew service.

Re: Keep Alive IP Issue
Can this person, naming himself FNORD be removed. His contributions have no meaning in this forum (or anywhere). Just thinking he's important, it seems.
I think I speak for most of the forum members.
