SolutionYou need to configure the Console Input, Output and Error device to just contain one and the same device, typically selecting the MP console as the EFI console device for OpenVMS.
After powering up your rx2660, use the down-arrow key when the EFI boot menu shows up to go to Boot Configuration and select the Console devices.

Re: OpenVMS install problem in rx2660
It is necessary to configure the serial console of the Integrity systems; since for VMS the input, output and error console all must point to the same serial-line console device.
At the console of the Integrity systems, select â Boot Configurationâ from the â EFI Boot Managerâ menu.
From the submenu, select â Console Configurationâ .
The â Console Configurationâ should look like:
Console Configuration
S Serial Acpi(PNP0501,0) Vt100+ 9600
P Serial Acpi(HWP0002,700)/Pci(1|1) Vt100+ 9600
S VGA Acpi(HWP0002,700)/Pci(2|0)
Position the cursor on the first entry and press
Position the cursor on the third entry and press
The final console configuration should look like this:
Console Configuration
NC Serial Acpi(PNP0501,0) Vt100+ 9600
P Serial Acpi(HWP0002,700)/Pci(1|1) Vt100+ 9600
NC VGA Acpi(HWP0002,700)/Pci(2|0)
Save the settings to NVRAM, and reset the system.

Kris (aka Qkcl)
