Pathworks 7.4 on WIN2K - Datalink Buffer Pool Problem

In Pathworks event log, when the message "Added 32 packets to the datalink buffer pool, total = 512" is reached, a decnet phase IV task-to-task connection is lost. Re-booting the PC (Windows 2K) is required to get going again. Andy Bustamante's post dated Feb 10, 2006 17:34:49 GMT referred to an updated DECDNP114.SYS to fix this problem. However, I cannot find the appropriate HP patch. Does anyone know where the patch/download for this file is?
Thanks
Robert

Karl is correct. Contact HP and they will e-mail you or arrange ftp access to the updated file. You rename DECDNP114.SYS to DECDNP.SYS and reboot the PC. Whoever I spoke with identified the issue immediately with the "added 32 packets . . ." message. I don't know of site for downloads to the client PW32.

I cannot contact anyone in HP who can get this patch for me (perhaps because I am in U.K.). Does anyone (Andy?) have this patch and if so can you send it to me (robert.wilson@scomagg.com)?

It would be entering a grey copywrite area for me to provide copies of patches. Maybe someone who can speak for HP will see this and okay the transfer?

The Pathworks support team used to be based out of Atlanta and I may still have an e-mail address or two.

Re: Pathworks 7.4 on WIN2K - Datalink Buffer Pool Problem

Robert,

I don't think the update ever made it into a release or patch kit. It definitely exists, it works, and can be emailed to a customer in response to a logged case. Sounds to me like whoever you're talking to in HP isn't trying hard enough. If you get stuck, send me mail, and I'll send you the name of the engineer who built V114

Robert,

please do NOT give explicit email addresses in Forums!

Look eg at John Gillings for how to confuse email harvesters.

And how to say thanks to those that helped:

Re: Pathworks 7.4 on WIN2K - Datalink Buffer Pool Problem

Thank you all for your help, especially Andy. The patch has been obtained from HP (in US) and applied. All the indications are that it has solved the problem.
Jan, sorry about the e-mail address thing..., point taken.

Thank you for the update Robert.

I was able to provide contacts in HP and a case number.
