Please help

If somebody coul;d help me how to send a big file (274Mb) by email on Yahoo which allows me to send only max 10Mb. Is it a software which split and compress iin the same time.. Could be a file compressed with winzip or winrar few times in a row? The file is actually a folder which contains my father's xray and ct scan pictures and a software (cdviewer) They should be sent by email to be read by a dfoctor in other country. Please help if would be possible. The doctor adress is on Yahoo so I can't send more than 10M of attachements.
Thank you for your time.

Re: Please help

This is better : http://www.yousendit.com/

It allows you to upload your file and download it from elsewhere.

Re: Please help

More details : you specify the file and the doctors mail address, the docter gets an email with a link and does a download with "save as". Don't specify your mail address.

Zip in advance to speed things up.

Re: Please help

Thank you very much for your prompt answer. I still have a question. I zipped the file but all I could obtain it was a file of 113Mb. I compressed it with winrar. Could you tell me if it is other software wich could compress with a better rate to obtain a file under 100Mb, the limit for free upload on YouSendIt.
Thank you very much again.

Re: Please help

You could try bzip2:

http://antinode.org/dec/sw/bzip2.html

This will lose the RMS file attributes (if
you're starting on a VMS system), but if the
files are Stream_LF or fixed-512, this
probably wouldn't matter.

I would not expect a very large improvement
in the compression, however.

Did you say "-9" on the Zip command line?
That might also help (a little).
