Problems with restore from tape

Hello,
I stated specifically DAT tapes. I don't know why I was thinking DAT tapes, but I pretty much use the same backup commands on DLT tape drives as well.

Anyway, thanks for clarifying backup operations. I was not 100% sure what happens if your tape is not positioned at the end and you want to add another save set to the tape. This conversation was useful to me as well.
