Re: Reset Entry numbers
sdi-1 (Jose Baars, mostly)>>>
-----------------------------------
I tried to overcome the fixup quote thing, attached an maybe improved procedure.
It handles the specific example of the autostart_on nodes, as far as I quickly tested.
-----------------------------------<<<
Thanks sdi-1,
I downloaded the new version and it got further, however, we have too many queue/entries:
%DCL-W-SYMOVF, no room for symbol definitions - delete some symbols
%DCL-W-SYMOVF, no room for symbol definitions - delete some symbols
... this went on for pages
As I said in a previous note, we have a complex set of queues.
I am using Jess Goodman's DISPLAY_JOBS.COM to save the state of the BATCH jobs. For that limited function, I have found no other tool that handles things as well as it does.
It is definitely worth the download, and it has some clever workarounds for some limitations/bugs in $getqui (although it is very unlikely that many people have ever encountered them in real situations; Jess must do thorough testing.)
I just wish DISPLAY_JOBS handled all types of queue entries, not only batch entries. It is obvious that he put quite a bit of thought into it.
I have reviewed it over at http://forums.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1149896
