SCOM (System Center Operations Manager) and OpenVMS
Is there anyway to setup an OpenVMS system to make use of SCOM? I cannot find an SCOM agent for use with OpenVMS but was wondering if there was one?

Re: SCOM (System Center Operations Manager) and OpenVMS
The source or vendor of the SCOM product, it's version and other general information would be helpful... If it is only SNMP-based there may already be MIBs and other underlying tools available but anything else would just be guessing.

Re: SCOM (System Center Operations Manager) and OpenVMS
If it's Microsoft then open-ness will not be a factor.
In other words, most likely NO.
Reading the wiki on this:
"...The agent watches several sources on that computer, including the Windows Event Log, for specific events or alerts generated by the applications executing on the monitored computer. Upon alert occurrence and detection, the agent forwards the alert to a central SCOM server."
There are other (open) monitoring systems, as Bob Blunt suggested, which are SNMP based.
