Re: Socket is already connected
Which IP stack and which version?
Is the current ECO kit loaded?
Which ftp utility or COPY/FTP command?
And if this is OpenVMS and TCP/IP Services, start out by getting to the current ECO for whatever version is in use.
Also perform the same steps for the other end of the connection, on the particular Unix box.
And if OpenVMS isn't in the middle of this ftp file transfer operation, this particular ITRC forum might not be the speediest path to resolution.
And in any case, it might be easier to ftp directly from the Windows box to the Unix box, as most versions of Windows either have an ftp client, or can have a (usually better) ftp client installed.

Re: Socket is already connected
UNIX boxes, so you might do better if you ask
in a more appropriate forum. You might also
include just a little useful info about the
operating systems and FTP client and server
software which are involved, as well as
exactly how it's all being used. Otherwise,
a psychic hotline might be a better bet.

There's a difference between "like" and
"appreciate[d]", which is probably why
they're spelled differently.
One easy way to avoid such comments would
involve including a reasonable supply of
useful information with your question, and
then directing it to an appropriate forum, as
suggested. So far, you don't seem to have
taken the hint(s). (Ending a question with a
question mark can also help to make a better
impression.)
