I've been trying to find additional information about the StorageWorks Command Scripter for OpenVMS software. I've found the user guide but not much else.
Since I can't seem to find any info on this does anyone know :
1) is it retired?
2) is/was it a seperately licensed product or is/was it free to use for StorageWorks/OpenVMS customers?
3) if it is retired, is there a downloadable version anywhere that can be used unsupported?
4) if it is retired, is there a similar software product that allows scripting commands (via DCL) to configure StorageWorks arrays (specifically on HSG80 ACS v8.7 based arrays)?
Thank you in advance for your help!

Re: StorageWorks Command Scripter
It went back to HP, but we never got a resolution.
The only version I can get to run is :-
COMPAQ-AXPVMS-CPQCMDSCR-V0100-45-1.PCSI;1

Re: StorageWorks Command Scripter
I guess I am challenged when it comes to finding information on HP's website. I searched for quite a while yesterday and did come across the first link you mentioned Karl
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Home.jsp?locale=en_US&prodT
ypeId=12169&prodSeriesId=306602&cc=us
from which I found the user guide. However, clicking the link to download the software resulted in "There are no software downloads or drivers for this product." So the fact that you were able to find the link to download ( http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/sanworks/softwaredrivers/commandscripter/cs1
0b.html?jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN )
is great - thank you so much.
I have not tried to install it yet but will do so soon. If I have problems with this version like you have Robert, is the older version available for download or can it be found on the OpenVMS distribution CDs?
Thank you again!

Re: StorageWorks Command Scripter
The software originally came on a CD - don't know if you can still get hold of it though?
I've got a copy of 1.0 (1.5MB) if you want it emailed over, but it's up to you to ensure you can legally use it.

Re: StorageWorks Command Scripter
Thanks again for the additional info. Yes, if you wouldn't mind emailing it to vmsrox@verizon.net I would greatly appreciate it.
I will contact our HP reseller to find out about licensing, and will post a follow-up later with what I find out in case anyone else is interested.
Thanks again!

I was quoted a price of $2850.00 for the 5 user license.
Thank you again for the help.
