TCPIP session value

Dear All,

We used OpenVMS 7.3.2 with TCPIP version V5.4 - ECO 7.

We have third party product to logon OpenVMS via SSH.
Could you please help to check the follows,

How can i check the current session value?
Any MAX limit on OpenVMS?
How can i adjust the session value?

Thanks

Re: TCPIP session value

Not quite sure, if I understand you, but the limit for a TCPIP service can be set with:

SET
SERVICE
/LIMIT
/LIMIT=n

Optional.

Maximum number of copies of the requested service allowed to run
on the system. If the maximum number is reached, any additional
requests for the service are rejected.

Re: TCPIP session value

And to see the session limit:

tcpip show service /full ssh

(Look for "Limit:".)

Re: TCPIP session value

Hi All,

Could anyone know the Max session value for TCPIP and SSH?

Thanks

Re: TCPIP session value

The max value would depend on your systems capacity. Note that each ssh login causes two processes to be created.
