You learn something new every day ;-)

Perhaps the sale of new servers with EIP is limited to EMEA, but it's been that way for many years, now.

Jeff, Uwe:

Thanks for the additional posts regarding EIP. (FWIW, I was curious what EMEA is, so I did a Google search. I gather that it refers to Europe-Middle East-Africa.)

Re: Upgrading VMS on AlphaServer 2100A?

Oops, yes, I should have included what EMEA means, sorry.

I have found an old bill of material dated 22-MAR-1999. If I remember correctly, that was part of an AlphaServer 800.

Part of this is another paper that reads:
""Congratulations!

Enclosed is your DIGITAL Enterprise Integration Server for OpenVMS Release 2.0 License Package. The DIGITAL Enterprise Integration Packages are a major deliverable in Digital Equipment Corporation's Affinity Program, which provides Windows NT integration with OpenVMS.

...

--- Note ---
Software License Product Authorization Keys (PAKs) are shipped worldwide by DIGITAL and are unique in many countries. For this reason, in certain countries, Enterprise Integration Server license PAKs may not be included in this package but will be sent together under a separate cover.

Thanks for the help. We ended up upgrading the console software, adding memory, and doing an install of VMS 7.3-2 on a spare disk drive.
