Just a hint:
A former DEC collegue of mine, named Theo de Klerk, once wrote an excellent book on Pascal.

Writing VAX/VMS Applications Using Pascal by Theo de Klerk Other, Digital
Press (January 1991)

You may want to e-buy it
Just google : "theo de klerk" pascal
and you'll see many links.
