VMS Licences
My customer has a MicroVAX II, which they wish to be split across two new HP Proliants, running an emulator. For one machine I can use the existing VMS v5.2 licence, but I am finding it difficult to source a new license for the second machine.
Anyone know where I can contact to source a license, preferably in the UK?

Re: VMS Licences
Pls. note, that there are transfer licenses nec. in order to transfer a VMS license to an emulator (one for VMS and one for all LP).
Why do you want to split to 2 emulators?
Availability? Then you need clusterlicenses as well, which are not cheap.
Have you asked HP or a reseller (e.g. ISLAND computers also sells licenses)?.
regards Kalle

Re: VMS Licences
Ian, thanks.
Kalle,
The split is because the present complete system has two distinct lines, but where both go via this one MicroVAX, i.e. two upper level computers, and two sets of front end electronic, all via the one MicroVAX. A reason in addition to old and obsolte, for replacement, is the common point of failure.
