VMS Resources

Are there any (other) good VMS resources out there. I am looking for web sites, magazines, etc.

Re: VMS Resources

I think a good start is HP itself:
http://www.hp.com/go/openvms

It has pointers to lots of other sites on the web.

For news and announcements, see

If you have particular needs or interests, there are quite a few more targeted resources available.

Re: VMS Resources

Hello Ian,

the last one is mine ;-) While I do keep the one on DECUS Germany active, actually the one I run at home is more reliable :-)

Re: VMS Resources

Hello Ian,

just tried it, both the server at home and the one at DECUS run without a hitch. Do you maybe have a firewall that filters port 8080?
If you continue to experience problems contact me off-line at zinser@zinser.no-ip.info and I will try to sort them out with you.

Greetings, Martin

Re: VMS Resources

To search in the Vms doc, it seems that
http://h71000.www7.hp.com/doc/

should work, but when I search for
scacp or tcpip$ftp or lavc$failure_analysis

I find nothing.

So I use jF Pieronne site, where the Vms (and Rdb, and Java, and others) doc is indexed

Re: VMS Resources

Gerard,

me and others have found out that it is often better to let Google look after it than HP's own search technology.
