XPDF 3.02 built by Chip Coldwell crashes on OpenVMS / Itanium 8.3-1H1 and I have not found any other binary.

Re: XPDF on OpenVMS / Itanium ?
2.02pl1" on my Alpha system, but if I were
interested in investigating this problem,
I'd expect to get some useful info from the
problem report, like:
> XPDF 3.02 built by Chip Coldwell [...]
Obtained whence?
[...] crashes [...]
Did what, exactly, when you did what,
exactly?

The PCSI kit for Alpha can be downloaded from:
http://frank.harvard.edu/~coldwell/vms/xpdf.html
The PCSI kit for Itanium has been retired but I can give it to you. Not very usefull (no sources, no build procedures).

When I launch XPDF, the main window briefly appears and then the exe crashes. I have not investigated more because without possibility of debugging...

Re: XPDF on OpenVMS / Itanium ?
http://de.OpenVMS.org/software-download/I64-XPDF-V0302-KITS.ZIP
This works on my 8.3-1H1 system.
If you don't have Ghostscript installed, you will also want
http://de.OpenVMS.org/software-download/VMS-GHOSTSCRIPT_FONTS-V0811.ZIP
The sources from which these were built are available from
http://de.OpenVMS.org/software-download/XPDF-V0302-SRC.ZIP
These are essentially Chip's source files, with PL2 installed, and slightly modified to build on Integrity and Alpha.
The Alpha kits are
http://de.OpenVMS.org/software-download/AXPVMS-XPDF-V0302-KITS.ZIP
Usual disclaimer: Use at your own risk...

Martin

Re: XPDF on OpenVMS / Itanium ?
http://de.openvms.org/software-download/I64VMS-V83-XPDF-V0302-KITS.ZIP
The I64 V8.3-1H1 kit is now named
http://de.openvms.org/software-download/I64VMS-V831H1-XPDF-V0302-KITS.ZIP
(I doubt that the filename mentioned above worked for a long time - I apologize for the confusion).
The kit for OpenVMS Alpha V8.3, the GhostScript fonts kit and the source kit mentioned above are also available.
Another way to access all of them is with anonymous FTP to ftp.pdv-systeme.de in the vms directory.
cu,
Martin
