fta Elasticity buffer errors ?
Hi all,
I am seeing frequent fta interface errors of the following sort in /var/adm/messages:
Jul 31 08:02:09 HOSTNAME vmunix: fta1: Elasticity buffer error
Does anyone know what is the precise meaning and impact of these errors?
Best regards,
Michael

Re: fta Elasticity buffer errors ?
The Elasticity Buffer Error condition occurs when a port's elasticity buffer overflows or underflows. This condition usually indicates that a port's hardware is not operating within the tolerances that the FDDI standard specifies.
So, you probably have hardware problem in your FDDI envirement (HBA, port, cable etc).

In vino veritas, in VMS cluster
