how can i obtain it again in tru64 OS?

Unfortunately, you'll have to halt the system. Here's a thread on what to do:

hi...

Halt the machine then type:

>>> b -fl s

Now you will enter single user mode, it will not ask you about any password.

then type:

# bcheckrc /* it will check all FS

# passwd root /* it will ask you to
type a new pass word

then press Ctrl+D it will go to multiuser mod directly, good luck
