   Which shell?

   Is Google broken?  I'd expect a search for keywords like, say:
      shell script primer
to find much useful material.  Tru64 is not particularly different from
any other UNIX(-like) OS in this area (depending some on which shell
you're using), and "man <your_shell>" should cover the details.
