HP Management Agents for VMware ESX 4

Environment: ESXi 4.0 build 164009

Downloaded latest HP Management Agents here:

Extracted the tar file to /tmp/hp

When attempting to install the agents manually per the README.txt with the following command:

./install830vibs.sh --install

I get : line 18: can't open /etc/init.d/functions

This directory does not /etc/init.d/functions does not exist.

I'm not sure where to go from here...

Any advice would be appreciated.

do you have administrator rights ?
try su - and install the agents again
