Impossible to install ESXi 4.1

I'm using a Z800 with a LSI 1068E SAS controller and a Fujistu MBA3300RC harddisk. When trying to install ESXI on the sas disk, the installer can not find any disk to write to.

After some digging on the internet, I found out the LSI 1068E should be set to IT (jbod) mode instead of IR raidmode so the installer would recognize the disk.
Any idea if this is correct and if so, where could I find the FW to flash the controller to IT mode?

Allready contacted LSI but they didnt want to help as the controller is OEM...

Or is there another solution which doesn't involve buying another sas controller?

Re: Impossible to install ESXi 4.1

Hi,

Below links shows the certified systems for vmware

Rather researching on the non-supported systems or the configuration, I would suggest go with systems which are listed in compatibility matrix
