and works like a charme, but is it legally to use this HP linux client installed on ubuntu or debian or self made linux in the company?

Re: Thin Client supporting PCoIP
in my personal opinion, it is legal, because you pay for the license in the thin client, and if you are using opensource its doesn't matter.

I'd like to install it on my own linux thin client not on HP thin client.

Re: Thin Client supporting PCoIP
My question is, if the HP ThinPro Add-On:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=12454&prodSeriesId=3719101&swItem=vc-81719-1&prodNameId=3719106&swEnvOID=4030&swLang=13&taskId=135&mode=4&idx=0

= now i understud your question, i think it/s not opensource but i would ecommend to ask some HP representative, that is your contact in HP.
i always contact our Account Support manager dedicated for our company from HP.
