VMware on C7000
I want to use a distributed switch and a just need to understand the interaction between the Interconnects and VMware distributed swicth.

There is no interaction between the 2. The interconnects are external to a Vmware environment... the "backend".
Distributed Switches are created within the VMware environment, using network interfaces from each server.
