1st sorry if this turns out to be a double post by me,
Useing hprecordnow, each time I try to use it it causes pc to reboot, win2kpro sp2 (same with the HP DLA)
Anyone ideas ??

Reboot the PC, do not log onto a Network (if have one).
Unistall any anti-virus software that you may have on the system.
Install the recording software again, reboot.
You should also be safe to reinstall the anti-virus again, make sure it is supported under Win2000.

still reboots PC when starting up recording software.

Remove all traces of the CD-Writer in the device manager. Find these files, if you have them delete them:
eusbmsd.sys
euiosmsd.pdr, and .inf
hpiosata.pdr, and .inf
hpuata.sys.
Disconnect the CD-Writer.
Go into the Bios and enable USB function.
Download and run the following driver http://www.hp.com/cposupport/information_storage/software/usbver39.exe.html
After rebooting connect the Writer to the USB and install, letting Windows find the best driver.
Install the software again and try again.

Starting record now, 1st screen is ok, when clicking to make data CD second screen appears,then 1 second later pc reboots.
What gets me is,that it was working fine on friday, shut PC down on friday night,on Monday when I tried useing the writer, this problem started...
