8230e Buffer Underun
Hi
I'm having trouble trying to get my HP CD-Writer 8230e to work with my new
SONY VAIO PCG-FX205K - running Win2000.
I bought the drive mainly for backup purposes. Yet whenever I try and run the HP simple backup program, after the disc format, I get the error message "Buffer underrun....you must reboot".
I've tried following all the guidelines i.e. ensuring there are no other app's running, switched off powersaving, disabled Norton Anti Virus auto protect. I even downloaded and installed the Roxio DircetCD update from
3.01 to 3.05. I also tried selecting the 1x write speed.
Nothing I've tried so far makes any difference.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Robert.
