I'm not even trying to burn from mp3, I convert to wav.
Very common complaint, as evidenced by the number of threads! BTW, this forum is very helpful!
My Windows Device Mgr dosn't have a DMA option available. Where exactly in the BIOS is the DMA setting? I installed 9510i on my work PC (Celeron 400/128Mb/6Gb - Win98se). Finally burned a good Audio CD after switching ON DMA... go figure!
Would you recommend upgrading to Win98se, or are there still some settings that can be changed/tweaked without major overhaul?
Thank you for any and all help!

SolutionPersonally I would install the full version of Windows 98 second edition, you will have more options to configure to make better CD recordings.
Have the Writer installed as Secondary Master? If not try it.
