CD-Writer Plus 8200e

I've tried everything! Last week I could burn CDs. Today, I can't. Here is what I've done:
--downloaded and reinstalled drivers
--changed usb ports
--depowered drive
--switched usb cables
--read pdf manual for troubleshooting on HP's site

Running WindowsXP
Still computer will not see drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just to check that the drive is still good; move the drive to another system (load latest driver, etc) and see it it will "see" it... if you still have troubles, you may have a burner who has gone to pasture.
