CD-Writer question-please help

I have an HP pavilion mx50 and the CD-writer refuses to open sometimes. I can use it a couple of times then it refuses to open and let me get the cd out of it. This is solved by rebooting but I don't want to have to reboot 50 times a day. lol the little hole that you can stick a paper clip in opens it but I still have to reboot before I can use the cd writer again. MX50 is a monitor description.. You'll need to tell us your pavillion product number so we can see what drivers or fw you'll probably need to upgrade to.

I have Win ME I don't see a driver listed for it.
