Developer error. Invalid command line parameter

I was prompted to uninstall Direct CD while loading NERO. When I tried to use HP-CD Writer again I was promted to insert disc 1. The disc spun for a few seconds and the software began load, then I recieved "Developer error. Invalid command line parameter" message. Now the drive will not execute exe. on any disc that I try to load.

Re: Developer error. Invalid command line parameter

I think the easy way is to uninstall any software for CD-R, then use Remove Hardware from Control Panel. After this disconnect drive and restart system. Then shutdown, reconnect and install everyting from the bigining.

Olaf Tomaszewski I dont know why you are suggesting to remove hardware, this is a software conflict.
Floyd you can try this:
Uninstall all recording software.
If using Windows 95/98 or ME rename the NERO95.vxd (or similar) in the IOSUBSYS folder, also rename atapchng.vxd, drvspacx.vxd, drvwppqt.vxd, drvwq117.vxd, necatapi.vxd, scsi1hlp.vxd, Torisan3.vxd.
Uninstall the UDF Reader for Add/Remove programs.
Uninstall any anti-virus or crash gaurd programs.
Again if using Win 98 or ME run MSCONFIG and disable the 'process config.sys', process autoexc.bat' & 'load startup group items'.
Try and install the software again to see what happens.
