hp 7510e install problems
I found that the external HP CD-ROM burner only worked on one PC a IPEX
PIII-600 I765226. I installed the software and drivers as per the hp
instructions on another pc with a identical motherboard (same ipex
model) but received the same error. I tried the install logged in with
the local machine administrator password to no effect.
I did a Bios upgrade on the PC and checked all the bios settings against the
working PC to no effect.
I ran the HP test software and received an error 'Drive self test successful data verification. 6390-error04 on aspi request host adaptor status is 00 scsi status is 02, sense key is 05, additional sense code is 24'.
When installing the driver software on 2 PC's
which have the IPEX stingray-2 motherboard and are P#-600's. The install
goes ok, but the following error occurs when trying to read any disk on
the drive.
E:\ is not accessable The volume doesn't contain a valid file
system. Please make sure all required file system drivers are installed
and that the volume is not corrupt'. this error occurs on the P3-600 as well
