hp cd-writer 8200 problems

I recently upgrated to win xpwhich seemed to cause problems with the hp 8200. The problems are specifically that i cannot write to the 8200 reliably. When coping a data disk the os reboots, when copying and audion cd there are skips in the cd. I have downloaded the drigvers from the hp site 3 or 4 times, and replaced the wnaspi32.dll per the posts but still no dice. PLEASE HELP!!!

PITIFUL FOOLS, I WILL SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM. SEE THE START BUTTON ON YOUR DESKTOP? CLICK IT AND GO TO WINDOWS UPDATE(MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ONLINE CONNECTION AND DELETE ALL THE SOFTWARE YOU INSTALLED FROM THE HP CDS). AFTER THAT GOTO DRIVERS UPDATE THERE YOU WILL FIND HP CD WRITER DRIVERS DOWNLOAD THEM MY FRIEND AND BE HAPPY. HAHAHA

Well, there's no HP driver under Windows Update. I wonder where you find it.

Lingering remnants of Adaptec software may be at fault. Regedit time!!
