HP cd-writer 9100 series write errors
I have run this cd-writer on a PIII system for several months with no problems. I recently acquired an AMD system consisting of an Athlon 1700+ processor on a Gigabyte GA-7DXR+ motherboard with DDR SDRAM. The cd-writer will not write a cd on this system. I get write errors every time I try to copy a cd. However, when I removed the cd-writer and reinstalled it in the PIII system, it wrote just fine onto a cd that I had gotten a write error on with the other system. Any ideas or suggestions?

Re: HP cd-writer 9100 series write errors
Hello Linda,
You may want to try updating all of your IDE drivers from the board manufacturer's web site.

Re: HP cd-writer 9100 series write errors
But she could also set down the write speed when copying cd to cd. Also she could check if the dma is enabled on both cd-writer and her cd-rom. But if it still fails, she could actually make a iso file to the hdd and write from there.
