lost software

I have recently received a Cd Writer 8200 from a friend but he has lost the software. I am running Windows 98 Plus and I can't find the add device on it to allow me to install the drive. What can I do?

Go to the hp support web, select your specific product, and then pick 'download and drivers' for your particular OS. Hopefully you can find what you need.
