Record Now runtime library error
I keep getting this error message every day:
--------------------------------------
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!!
Program: C\Programm Files\VERITAS Software\Update Manager\sgtray.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.
-------------------------------------------
I've figured out that this file relates to the "Check for updates" function of the Record Now software that came on my PC. I get the error if I invoke that function, when I click on the sgtray.exe file in Windows Explorer, in addition to its coming up on its own every day--probably when my computer reboots, but I don't watch it so I'm not sure.
I have Record Now version 4.50 on my HP Pavilion 504n. I recently updated my Windows XP with SP3, and the error may have started showing up then.
I've tried to locate support for Record Now with no success. It seems that Veritas no longer exists.
Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it -- or at least keep that error message from appearing?
Thank you very much.
