Hi,
i have a PCM 2.32 installed on my server with a J9057A license. Now i bought a upgrade license (J9173A) witch i have already registered online. After that, my old license became inactive.
Now when i want to upgrade my PCM 2.3 to 3.20 i need some kind of Maintainance ID. Where do i get this ID from?
I have also try to install the PCM 3.2 on a new server, with the trial license. When I want to register the version, i get an error, that the code is already in use. (what is correct, because the new licence is registered with the install ID from the PCM 2.32)
What can i do, that i get an working PCM 3.2?
Thanks

Re: PCM 3.2 migration license problem
the J9173a is an 3.10 update license, you have installed PCM 3.20.
If you bought your license before November 2010, got to you account Under My licenses, at the left hand side you will have View available registration IDs, you will have a free registration ID which will allow you to generate a maintenance license needed (J9630A). if bought the license later you will need to by this one too or go downgrade to 3.10

Re: PCM 3.2 migration license problem
Hi Stefan
It's a new license, so it includes one-year maintenance license. You do not need to purchase anything additional - you have exactly one option: call support. There's no way you can get this done yourself.

Re: PCM 3.2 migration license problem
Hi,
was able to upgrade my PCM 2.3 to the PCM 3.10 without any other licenses.
But now when I want to go to 3.20, I still need the Maintenence License and I cant create it online.
Only way to contact the HP Support?
thanks
Stefan

Re: PCM 3.2 migration license problem
Hi Stefan,
only one short question.
Did you have to buy the maintenance license in the end?
I have exactly the same problem.
regards
Sebastian

Re: PCM 3.2 migration license problem
if you don't have a registration ID under View available registration IDs after updating to pcm 3.2, you should contact support
