PCM 4 Network Map
Yet another network mapping issue, lol
I have a 5412zl (K 15.06.0008) with a link on A4 to a Cisco 2960 (15.0(1)SE1) GigabitEthernet0/24. LLDP is enabled on the Cisco. The link was previously shown on the network map in PCM, but after a rediscovery of the 5412, the link is now gone.
If I look at the link from the 5412 (show lldp info remote A4), LLDP shows the local port A4 going to the right chassisID with the right PortID and PortDescr and the right SysName. If I look at the link from the Cisco (show lldp neigh), again I see the correct Device ID, Local Intf, and Port ID.
I am more than a little confused now about what PCM uses to make the association. This particular link was always a problem here until recently when I updated the software on the Cisco from IOS 12 which had known LLDP issues.
Could someone point me to a resource which explains what PCM uses?
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
John
