Error 255 during scripted install / hardware capture
My jobs fail with error code 255- multiple errors were encountered.
From the status detail I get the information, that the error was caused by ACR.exe or ACR.bat.
These files are responsible for getting / sending information about the RAID controller from / to the client.
When capturing the HW configuration of my machine, the script should create two files, one for the HW details and one for the array configuration. In fact, it only creates the HW file. This is because something is wrong with the ACR.exe or ACR.bat. But I haven't changed anything in these files.
From another forum, I got the information, that error 255 might be a file not found error.
I updated my BIOS, Win2003 drivers and my array 5i to newer firmware, but the error still occurs.
Help greatly appreciated!
Benjamin

Re: Error 255 during scripted install / hardware capture
I may not be much help, but I'll throw this out:
Are you using the default filename for the acr? (i.e. mldl-a.ini)? Or did you change it to some other name?
You're probably aware of the 8.3 filename limitation...but that doesn't usually prevent you from capturing...just deploying if the filename is too long. Just a hunch.

Re: Error 255 during scripted install / hardware capture
I am using the default names.
I REMmed the line where the script wants to execute the array config. Not it's working.
Not that good, but at least it works...
