Imaging

I have setup RDP on a blade server and I am trying to image another blade. I have the blade in the manager and can review the resources of the target blade. When I try to image the target blade it hangs when transfering to the boot floppy image.

I have installed RDP twice and used two diferent sources for the DOS files and it hangs at the same spot each time. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Imaging

The server your tying to capture - how did you install the OS the first time?

On the server your trying to capture what do you see - I'm unclear as to what's hanging the job or the target server.

Re: Imaging

The first blade is a manual install with the agent pushed down afterwards. Monitoring the blade on iLo it PXE boots fine. It gets to a line that it is transferring control to the floppy boot image and will never move beyond that point.

Re: Imaging

It sounds like you didn't install the PSP. Install the current PSP which can be found here:

Re: Imaging

oops sorry.

So your server downs the OS and starts the PXE boot process. Can you attach a screen snap shot (from the iLo Remote Console). What did you use to create the PXE boot image? I'm not sure it's the PXE image, just trying to understand the foundation. Are you on a closed network (no other PXE server could be responding)?
