Can I use a power supply from another HP DL 360 generation?
Hello Community,
I have a ProLiant DL360 Gen9 server installed in remote localisation in which power supply suddenly failed. The power supply model is 720478-B21.
Unfortunetlly the warranty for that server has expired.
But in my lab I have got one ProLiant DL360 Gen10 with two power supplies model 865408-B21. Can I use it in the Gen9 sever to run it?
Dave

Re: Can I use a power supply from another HP DL 360 generation?
Hi Dave65,
The Power supplies for Gen9 and 10 are not compatible,
Gen9 uses-HPE Flex Slot power supplies
Gen10 uses-HPE Gen10 Flex Slot Low Halogen power supplies
Please refer below article for more details

While not 'supported', to get your system operational again, the Gen10 suppy will work in the Gen9 server.
