Re: Direct connect 10/25 between two DL380
Hi @SaidX,
As far as I know, it is not possible to connect another DL380 directly to a server. However, you can configure the iLO and access the console using the iLO IP address and the login credentials from the OS installed on another server.
Hope this information has helped you, Please click on the "Thumbs Up/Kudo" icon as a token of appreciation. Also, if this post has helped to solve your issue, consider marking this as an "Accepted Solution".
Regards,
Prajwal

Re: Direct connect 10/25 between two DL380
Unless I am misunderstanding the issue, as long as each server has an IP address assigned (set static IP on same subnet if no DHCP) they should see each other just like any other network connection...

Re: Direct connect 10/25 between two DL380
10/25Gb support a Direct Connect Switchless configuration.
Relevant IEEE Standard: IEEE 802.3ae
Full Title: IEEE Std 802.3ae-2002 – 10 Gigabit Ethernet
This standard defines the 10 Gigabit Ethernet specifications, including:
Point-to-point communication, which is the basis of switchless NIC-to-NIC setups
IEEE official site: https://standards.ieee.org/standard/802_3ae-2002.html
Or the full, consolidated Ethernet spec: IEEE 802.3-2022: https://standards.ieee.org/ieee/802.3/10660/
There is no separate IEEE document titled specifically for "NIC-to-NIC switchless" configuration — it is an application based on the point-to-point capability defined in 802.3.
