Direct connect 10/25 between two DL380

Hello, is it possible to direct connect from one DL380 to another DL380 over a 10/25Gb NIC?

Exist any documentation about that?

Hi @SaidX,

As far as I know, it is not possible to connect another DL380 directly to a server. However, you can configure the iLO and access the console using the iLO IP address and the login credentials from the OS installed on another server.

Unless I am misunderstanding the issue, as long as each server has an IP address assigned (set static IP on same subnet if no DHCP) they should see each other just like any other network connection...

10/25Gb support a Direct Connect Switchless configuration.

Relevant IEEE Standard: IEEE 802.3ae

  • Full Title: IEEE Std 802.3ae-2002 – 10 Gigabit Ethernet

This standard defines the 10 Gigabit Ethernet specifications, including:

  • Point-to-point communication, which is the basis of switchless NIC-to-NIC setups
