HP Netserver 5/133

I have some 5/133's that I inherited from a merger. I want to use one for an application that I have. I want to put a new disk drive and a CD on the box. When I boot the box I see no setup request that I am used to seeing. Does this box require a configuration diskette or something? I don't have one. What to do? Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: HP Netserver 5/133

Robert,

What you need is the EISA configuration Uitility.
It's on a bootable diskette and you can download it from : http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Product.jsp?locale=en_US&taskId=8418&taskName=download+drivers+%26+software&prodTypeId=15351&prodSubCatId=71341

Select the type of netserver you have (like LC or LS) and download the ECU, run the file (it will create a bootable floppy) and boot your netserver from it.
In the ECU, you can select option 3, View/Edit details to make some changes.

The tool might complain that you need a newer BIOS, you can download it from the same site.

Re: HP Netserver 5/133

Marco,
Thanks for the quick reply. I found the site after I posted the request but I don't see 5/133 LC as a system selection for the EISA utility. I downloaded the LC but it wouldn't come up properly. The first screen came up but when I continued it came up with some weird characters on the screen and stopped.

Thanks,
RI
