Slackware DL320
Hi ,
I am trying to install slackware 9.1 on a DL320 g2 server and i am wondering how can i shut off the fan's noise because they are running just as from start . Thank you in advance

If HP supports your Linux distribtion this functionality is found on Server utility disks.
These server setup utilities are found in the Compaq section of itrc.

The exact item you are looking for is the "HP Server Management Drivers and Agents".
Here is the agent download link for Red Hat Enterprise 2.1: http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/16849.html
Once l installed this on our DL320's the fans calmed down after booting.
Hope you find the one that works with slackware.
