Error on Cluster - Bus reset

Has anyone come across any of the following errors or can recommend any advice?
We have 2 Proliant DL380 servers set up with an array storage as cluster.

Cluster service is requesting a bus reset for device \Device\ClusDisk1Part0.

The driver for device \Device\Scsi\cpqcissm1 performed a bus reset upon request

Re: Error on Cluster - Bus reset

I wouldn't worry about this. A SCSI bus reset is a normal part of how a cluster takes conrol of the disks. If it was an informational message (vs. an actual error) in the Event Log, I wouldnd't worry. If it was an actual error, it's still no big deal, as it probably means that one of the nodes was taking control of the Quorum drive.

Thanks,

Re: Error on Cluster - Bus reset

I get this problem on startup along with the error
Cluster service is requesting a bus reset for device \Device\ClusDisk0

the node comes back online but is unable to access the disks, and therefore is no use in the cluster...

Which SmartStart (PSP) version you use?
AFAIR, in v.7.1 insight diagnostic driver issue similar false warning.

Re: Error on Cluster - Bus reset

Not sure which version i use, windows reports the error.
All the logical drives are found ok in the array startup but not in windows.

1 have 3 clusters
1 group of two works correctly

the other 2 groups of 2 clusters, 1 server on each has this error report on windows startup.

I presume i need to power down the cluster and try reattaching the "broken" node to the disks by itself, to see if it can access the disks...

I don't want to screw up the cluster though, as the broken node attaches to the shared disks, i presume this won't cause any issues on the shared disks?
