Disk Threshold Email Alerts
Sorry if this has been answered on here already but I`m just setting up HP SIM 4.0 and need to get this sorted ASAP!!! I will continue to look though. in the meantime though...
1. I have set up disk thresholds successfully on my servers, I can see this when viewing them via insight agents, I then have set up 3 Automatic Event Handling task to email me, the first two are for Major or Critical Severity events, these work fine, but when I breach a disk threshold I don`t receive any alert, this is the one I want to work the most. Have I chosen the wrong catagory - Proliant Storage Events - Physical Drive Threshold Pass.
I can see in the event log on the managed server the foundation agent "Threshold Agent" has detected the breach but I don`t get the email.
Any help appreciated.

Re: Disk Threshold Email Alerts
Note there is a separate forum for hpSIM at http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/categoryhome.do?categoryId=455
Is the event getting to hpSIM? View it with the All Events list. If not, it sounds like you don't have trap destinations configured.

Re: Disk Threshold Email Alerts
Many thanks for your reply David, I`ll have a look on there aswell.
To answer your question I cannto see any events in the All Events on the CIM so it must be the snmp settings are incorrect, however there is the publich community string in there with Read\Write access. Is there anything that needs doing?
I haven`t been able to find anything in the documentation I received?
