Not receiving certain notifications
I was wondering if someone could walk me though some basic troubleshooting. A hard drive failed on one of our servers and we did not get notified via E-mail.
There is a Device Status Change minor alert in the database. I click on the link and everything is now green because the drive has been replaced. When I visit the Home Page, I see that the drive is rebuilding.
I get many alerts every day, so I know the Email settings are correct.
I have personally set up notification tasks such that I should get every single alert that is generated from any server, but I got nothing from this one.
I don't see anything related to this drive failure in the Integrated Log.
Where can I now look to find out what went wrong? This has happened quite a bit lately. For the most part, alerts seem to be working, but every now and again I don't get any, and it seems to be drive failures in particular that are affected (but then, that seems to be the main issue anyway - rarely get any other kind of serious hardware failure alerts).
Currently using CIM 7.0 SP2 (soon moving to HP SIM 5). The version of the agents on this particular server is 7.10.
Thank you.
