Query data does not reflect current info
I have created an event query that searches for "Tape Cleaning" criteria. Unfortunately the query produces Cleared events that are a month old, and no longer relevant. Navigating into the devices shows no degraded items - if the event is cleared and the condition no longer exists why does it show in the query. The IML on the servers are also clear.
I want to show devices with a current "Tape Cleaning" condition without having to go through all of the devices in a typical "Device in Minor status" query. Suggestions?

Re: Query data does not reflect current info
By default, IM7 does not delete any events. It sounds like you have not received any of these events since the last time you cleared the last events (not showing up in the query means that IM7 has not received any). You might want to make sure that you don't have "Cleared" as one of the criteria for "Tape Cleaning" query. If fact, you might want to add "Not Cleared" to the query criteria - that would get want you want (uncleared, new tape events).
IF you want IM7 to automatically delete events, you can create a query based on "Cleared Events" and then tie it to a Control Task/Delete Events and set it to run "when new devices/events meet the query criteria". This will automatically delete ALL cleared events when you clear then. Be careful here, there is no way to recover events from a delete...
