Backup task in progress
Hello,
I'm struggling with some unusuall issue. I cannot locate the tab where i will be able to see backup tasks in progress.
Documentation says it should be at "configuration>deployment task", bute there i can only see finished scripts, nothing from backup. Unfortunatelly i have few host where backup hangs for a long time, and it prevents me from starting a new task saying that "task already in progress".
Thats for now, later will be asking why this host has backup problem since last year september.

Re: Backup task in progress
Hello @centrum,
It’s correct that "Configuration > Deployment Tasks" typically shows deployment scripts but may not display active backup jobs. Backup tasks are often monitored in a different section depending on the backup software or management console you are using.
Check if there is a dedicated Backup or Jobs dashboard or tab in the management console that specifically tracks backup operations.
Look for a Task Monitor, Job Status, or Activity Monitor section where ongoing jobs and their progress are displayed.
Some systems provide a Logs or History section with filters for active versus completed jobs.
Regarding the issue where backups hang and prevent new tasks from starting due to the “task already in progress” message, this usually indicates that the system believes a backup job is still running or stuck. To resolve this:
Verify if the hung backup job can be manually stopped or cancelled.
Restarting related services or the host itself may clear stale locks or running processes.
Investigate logs on the affected hosts to determine why the backup is hanging.
