ilo and Active Directory

I am having an issue with getting my ilo's to work with AD. I am getting "Unable to establish SSL connection with directory server" The AD server has a cert - and in the event log there was a message saying that the server now supports ssl or secure ldap (forget the exact message). I am able to connect to AD via SSL using ldp. Any pointers would be helpful. thanks
